Birdcage replaces Salut in an unusual arrangement of one small building that houses the kitchen plus a series of hillside patios. This port, since I am on the subject, is commonly pronounced by visitors Dunleary.
As regards rural inns and their dining rooms, I think, for example, of an excellent chicken dinner, for about a dollar, that I enjoyed in Hotel Lawlor, in Naas, and of the delectable cuisine of Kilcoran Lodge, a garden inn near Cahir Castle, on the road to Cork.
